Chase The Light Description
Chase The Light is Photographic Center Northwest’s (PCNW) annual summer fundraising and friend-raising event celebrating photography and community. It kicks off with a 48-hour photoshoot on June 10th and 11th, where people around the globe make photographs on the same weekend. Every participant who submits will have their work reviewed by industry professionals and is guaranteed to have one photograph selected for inclusion in a pop-up exhibition and print sale on June 17th. Gather your creative friends and family and register today!
48 hr. Photo Shoot: June 10 – June 11
Join participants across the globe in 48 hours of image-making worldwide. Shoot with any type of camera, between Saturday, June 10th and Sunday, June 11th. Use hashtags #chasethelight2023, #pcnwchasethelight, and #photographiccenternw when posting to social media.
Submit: Monday, June 12
Submit up to five photos taken during the photo shoot to be looked at by a panel of jurors. One image will be selected from each participant to be featured in a pop-up exhibition and print sale. Submission dates: Monday, June 12th by 12pm (noon) for digital and Wednesday, June 14th by 12pm for analog (all times are PST). Details about the submission process can be found here.
Celebrate: Saturday, June 17
Join us Saturday, June 17th for the pop-up exhibition, print sale, and community celebration. All participants that submit will be included. This event is a great way to discover new photographers, expand your collection, meet other artists and support PCNW.
