Chase The Light Description
Chase The Light is Photographic Center Northwest’s (PCNW) annual summer fundraising and friend-raising event celebrating photography and community. It kicks off with a 48-hour photo weekend on June 8th and 9th, where people around the globe make photographs on the same weekend. Every participant who submits will have their work reviewed by industry professionals and is guaranteed to have one photograph selected for inclusion in a pop-up exhibition and print sale on June 15th. Gather your creative friends and family and register today!
48 hr. Photo Weekend: June 8 – June 9
Join participants across the globe in 48 hours of image-making worldwide. Make photographs between Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th. Use hashtags #chasethelight2024, #pcnwchasethelight, and #photographiccenternw when posting to social media.
Submit: Monday, June 10
Submit up to five photos taken during the photo weekend to be looked at by a panel of jurors. One image will be selected from each participant to be featured in a pop-up exhibition and print sale. Submission dates: Monday, June 10th by 12pm (noon) for digital and Wednesday, June 12th by 12pm (noon) for analog (all times are PST). Details about the submission process can be found here.
Celebrate: Saturday, June 15
Join us Saturday, June 15th for the pop-up exhibition, print sale, and community celebration. All participants that submit will be included. This event is a great way to discover new photographers, expand your collection, meet other artists and support PCNW.
