Portfolio reviews offer photographers a unique opportunity to present their work to curators, gallerists, photo editors, and book publishers. It can, however, be intimidating to know when and how to apply and then how best to prepare to ensure you get the most out of the experience. Join respected artist Melinda Hurst Frye for an insightful workshop on what portfolio reviews have to offer and how to set yourself up for success. During the workshop, Melinda will offer her experience and advice on the following:

• What exactly is a portfolio review
• Who should apply and when are you ready
• Which ones are there and what are their deadlines
• What goes into a solid application
• How to prepare once you’re selected
• What to make the most of your meetings with reviewers
• Networking with other photographers
• The importance of post review follow up

This workshop is ideal for anyone interested not only in portfolio reviews, but in sharing one’s work or submitting work for professional opportunities.
