Discussions will focus on where and how to find an artist grant, what types of grants are available for artists, how to edit your visual portfolio, and what grant organizations would like to see in your final project.

Montúfar has served as a panelist for artist grants, artist residencies, and galleries, such as the Vermont Studio Center (VSC), Johnson, VT (VSC Artist Residency) and Artist Trust, Seattle, WA (Artist Innovator Award). Marilyn Montúfar is a Faculty member focused on teaching social justice photography and a member of the Education Advisory Committee at the Photographic Center Northwest. She has worked extensively both as an applicant and juror for highly competitive artist grants and artist opportunities across the United States.
