DESCRIPTION
Our culture now consumes more images than words daily, but has no formal education around how our brains process imagery, and the impact of that on all forms of communication. Designed for educators teaching all levels from K–12 to university courses, this week-long workshop will introduce through photography basic principles of visual literacy, and offer classroom tools and exercises for teaching conscious seeing as a critical skill of the twenty-first century. No experience with making or teaching photography necessary to participate.
