Introduction to Analog Color Printing
Faculty: Andrej Gregov
July 14 – August 4, 2022 | Thursday 6-9pm
In-person Course
$330

This four session printing workshop will provide an opportunity for students to print a color body of work in the traditional analog color darkroom. This is a great opportunity for anyone curious about learning how to make traditional C-prints from analog color negatives or those already experienced that would like access to a color darkroom with processor. Students new to analog color will receive instruction for how to work a color head enlarger, make necessary color adjustments and use a color print processor. Printers with previous color darkroom experience can start printing after a quick refresher on equipment and color correction. Subject matter to bring to the workshop will be students’ choice. Note, this is not a shooting class. Students will be required to bring their own previously shot C41 color negatives to print (35mm, 120 or 4×5). There will be time for print critique, evaluation of negatives and shooting technique for those wishing feedback. Printing will be limited to class time once per week. Students will need to purchase one box of 100 sheets of Fuji Crystal Archive II matte paper (8×10) before the workshop.
