Chase the light!
June 10, global 24-hr photo shoot
June 17, Exhibition Celebration Event
anyone, anywhere, any camera
Long Shot is Photographic Center Northwest’s (PCNW) annual summer celebration, highlighting photography as the shared language of today. Long Shot kicks off June 10 & 11—unite with people around the world to chase the light, and show us what you’ve seen! Choose your top 5 and submit by Monday, June 12.
Everyone who participates will have one image selected for the slideshow and pop-up exhibition on Saturday, June 17 at PCNW. A $20 suggested donation to take part also supports our mission to create, discuss, and experience significant photography.
How does Long Shot work?
1) Register
A $20 suggested donation registers you for Long Shot. Registration covers participation in the event, which includes image submission, your images reviewed by a panel of professionals, and one selected image printed on fine art paper and exhibited during the exhibition celebration on June 17. REGISTER NOW! If you’d like a copy of your selected Long Shot print you can add $15 to your registration.
4) photo Shoot
Join photographers across the globe in 24 hours of image-making worldwide. Shoot anywhere in the world, with any type of camera, between Saturday, June 10 at 9am (Pacific Time) to Sunday, June 11 at 9am (PT). Use hashtags #longshot2017, #photocenternw and #pcnw when posting to social media.
5) Submit
A panel of industry professionals review submissions and select one image from each participant. All selections will be featured in our online slideshow and printed at PCNW for the exhibition celebration on June 17th.
6) Celebrate
Join us for a global celebration of Long Shot participants and their images. Enjoy music, drinks and amazing artwork. The evening centers around a reverse auction, in which everyone has the opportunity to bid and take home images by local luminaries and up-and-coming photographers. Donate to PCNW that evening and go home with a unique Long Shot photograph! All are welcome to attend, whether you participated in Long Shot or not, on Saturday, June 17 from 5-9pm at PCNW.
