ARTIST RECEPTION: Fringe Practice Alternative Methods in Photography
Thursday, April 10, 6-8pm
Free w/ RSVP
Please join us at PCNW for an evening celebrating the innovative work of artists exploring alternative methods in photography. This in-person event will feature captivating pieces that push the boundaries of traditional photography. Meet the artists, mingle with fellow art enthusiasts, and immerse yourself in the world of photography!
About the Exhibition:
Early photographers discovered and used most of what we now call “alternative processes” over a century ago. Today, contemporary artists are taking these traditional methods and infusing them with new ideas, expanding the possibilities of what photography can be. This exhibition showcases a range of techniques from cyanotype to chlorophyll printing and, although rooted deep in the history of the photographic medium, the work is inspired, innovative, and lies within the fringe of modern alternative process photography.
