Call For Entries…

punctum:

20th Annual Juried photography Exhibition

Juror: Julia Dolan, Minor White Curator of Photography, Portland Art Museum

The Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW) is pleased to announce we are opening the call for entries for Punctum: the 20th Annual PCNW Juried Exhibition, and our esteemed juror, Julia Dolan, Minor White Curator of Photography at the Portland Art Museum.

The title of the exhibition, chosen by the juror, is drawn from theorist Roland Barthes’ concept of punctum, or that in a photograph which pierces a viewer—a particular detail, passage, or moment, combined with what each individual viewer also brings to an image. The theme is open and an artist statement is encouraged with each entry. Selected artists will be exhibited in Seattle, WA at PCNW November – December 2015. All photo processes are welcome.
