Lens Flair:
PCNW’s Benefit Preview Exhibition

On view: September 12 – 29, 2024

Reception & Silent Auction Opens: September 21, 2024

The term lens flare refers to light scattering in a camera lens in response to a bright light source, often producing a starburst effect. This year’s benefit & auction celebrates artistic expression through personal flair, and looks at the intrinsically playful relationship between photography and light. Whether it’s through a joyful sunbeam, a moody gray sky, or an accidental double exposure, light brings each image to life.

PCNW’s 2024 benefit preview exhibition features more than 50 local, regional, national, and international artists working in photography. We celebrate their unique style and contributions to the photographic ecosystem by sharing their work with new audiences. All works will also be featured in PCNW’s annual benefit auction on October 4, 2024 at Block 41, hosted by auctioneer Ian Lindsay.

Join us for the artist reception on Saturday, September 21, 4-6pm, where you’ll have a first look at the stunning artwork and meet many of the talented artists.
