What is Chase The Light?

Chase The Light is a weekend of photographic exploration across Washington State June 8-9. Every single participant who submits will have one photograph selected for inclusion in a pop-up exhibition at PCNW on June 15-16. We are pleased to share that all of those photographs will also have extended visibility in an outdoor regional showcase in partnership with Friends of the Waterfront Seattle and the national traveling exhibition, The Fence beginning in August!

How does Chase The Light work?

A $20 suggested donation registers you for Chase the Light. Registration covers participation in the event, which includes image submission, your images reviewed by a panel of professionals, and one selected image printed on fine art paper and exhibited during the exhibition June 15-16.  If you’d like a copy of your selected Chase The Light print you can add $15 to your registration.

Join WA state participants in 24 hours of image-making. Shoot with any type of camera, between Saturday, June 8 at 9am (Pacific Time) to Sunday, June 9 at 9am (PT). Use hashtags #chasethelight2018, #photographiccenternw and #pcnw when posting to social media.

A panel of industry professionals review submissions and select one image from each participant. All selections will be featured in our online slideshow and printed at PCNW for the exhibition June 15-16.

Join us for a celebration of Chase The Light participants and their images. All are welcome to attend, whether you participated in Chase the Light or not, June 15-16, 2019 at PCNW.

What’s new?

After the PCNW pop-up exhibition, participants will be included in an extended outdoor regional showcase in partnership with Friends of the Waterfront Seattle and the national traveling exhibition The Fence. Participation is hyper-local, EXCLUSIVE to residents of Washington state!

Participate with any camera— film, digital, cell phones and everything in between!

A $20 donation covers registration, image submission, and one image printed for exhibition.

Registration for Washington residents opens March 2019.
