This work was produced in 2011 during a Spring quarter class, Documenting Live Music in Seattle. Throughout the years, there has been an emotional similarity between the musician and photographer. Students explored the cultural phenomenon of music through photography. Class topics included working in low-light situations, metering and using on-camera flash, as well as marketing and selling music photography. Class instructor, Lance Mercer is a noted Seattle music photographer and was Pearl Jam’s official photographer from 1992 to 1995.

Displayed in this exhibition is the work of Tom Griffin, Jennifer Iverson, Cara Kennedy, Lance Mercer, Megan Morales, and Chris Newell.
