jock sturges

Seattle-based Jock Sturges is internationally known for his nude portraits; his large-format photographs reference classical periods in both photography and painting. Sturges’s work is found in the collections of major museums including the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum, both in New York; the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris; and the Frankfurt Museum of Modern Art in Germany. He has been widely published by Aperture, Scalo and Steidl Verlag.
