Description:
Discover the creative possibilities of photography and encaustics. Applied to photographs (digital or fiber based prints), the process can intensify colors, create a glowing effect, and endow images with a clear, “ground glass” appearance. This workshop will begin with demonstrations and an overview of the process showing how fine art papers and traditional fiber based prints react with hot wax. After exploring different possibilities and processes, bring in your own images to work with and learn about alternative presentation methods.
