Born in Paris in 1971, Karine Laval lives in New York City. She majored in communications and journalism at the University of La Sorbonne in Paris, and completed her education with photography courses at Cooper Union, SVA and the New School in New York. Her work has been featured in numerous publications such as The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, Le Figaro Magazine, The New Yorker, Eyemazing, Next Level etc. She was selected by PDN as one of the 30 emerging photographers in 2005. She’s had solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe and is represented by Bonni Benrubi Gallery.
