Come join in the adventure of Chase The Light this year.
Chase the Light is Photographic Center Northwest’s (PCNW) annual summer fundraising and friend-raising event celebrating photography and community. The event kicks off with a 48-hour photo weekend on June 8th and 9th, where people around the globe make photographs on the same weekend. Every participant who submits will have their work reviewed by industry professionals and is guaranteed to have one photograph selected for a pop-up exhibition and print sale on Saturday, June 15th. Register today, and invite your friends and family. Chase The Light is a summer highlight for the photographic community, and we want you in on the fun!
This is a fundraiser for PCNW that elevates the art form and community. Last year, Chase The Light raised over $20,000, engaging more than 600 artists from 15 countries and 29 states. More than 300 of those were featured in the pop-up exhibition and print sale.
Registration is a $20 donation that helps us cover the cost to produce the event, and anything above that amount supports scholarships and our annual calendar of free public programs. To eliminate barriers to participation, we also offer a pay what you can.
The event is not just a fundraiser, it’s a friend-raiser! Our goal is 1,000 participants this year so we are asking everyone who registers to tell five of their friends about Chase The Light. Participants are encouraged to plan their photographic adventures with friends and family—anyone, anywhere in the world, with any camera can participate!
