Preparing Submissions for Juried Opportunities
April 26 | Sat 11-2pm
Fine art photographers know that one of the best ways to get your work discovered is through entering juried exhibition and publication opportunities. This workshop prepares you for that — covering file preparation, titling your work, finding which juried shows best match your work, and editing your project and artist statement in order to make sure that what you are spending on entry fees is worth every penny! Bring a small selection of your work, a draft of your artist or project statement, and a description of a call-for-entry that you are interested in (optional). We will also review how to prepare for the PCNW’s 19th Annual Photo Exhibition.
PCNW’s Marketing Director and fine art photography Rafael Soldi will discuss juried exhibitions, share tips and ideas, discuss artist/project statements and review participants work. The last portion of the class will be spent reviewing resizing and formatting files for submission.
