Description:
Gain a basic understanding of large format camera operations through hands on experience. Learn Black and White sheet film processing and printing specific to large format film. Practice working with camera controls, learn the use of front and back standards for focus and perspective, work with bellows extension and metering calculations while working in the field. Trips to sites around Seattle and Puget Sound will be central to this class. The Photo Center provides a limited number of large format kits for student check-out.
*An additional class meeting/lab day will be scheduled for late July – date TBA.
Rental fees (not included in tuition) are charged for use of the Photo Center facilities – darkroom, digital lab, studio, etc – to complete assignments outside of class; a list of rental rates for students is available on the Hours/Rates page.
