This class is a comprehensive survey of Adobe Lightroom CC/6. Over the course of the quarter, we will explore how to use Lightroom to organize, edit and share your work. We will cover all aspects of Lightroom focusing on organizing, editing and printing your work. We will also work to help you develop your personalized workflow within the program. If you are just starting out or have been using Lightroom for a while, this course can help you excel at working with your photography. Each student will be working on their own images and have real world assignments to help them better understand and use the program. We will cover how Lightroom integrates with third-party programs such as Photoshop. Topics covered include: Importing, Exporting, Printing, every module in detail (Library, Develop, Map, Book, Print), color management, printing, workflow, presets, digital asset management, collections, editing tools and workflow process, color and tonal management, third-party integration, Lightroom Mobile and more. The course will be held in our Mac lab, but instructions will be provided for both Mac and PC. Students may use their own laptops if they prefer. Students will be required to have an external hard drive for the quarter to store their images and catalogs.
