Credits: 3 - fulfills Elective requirement for Certificate Program for students entering after August 2011; fulfills Black & White 3 requirement for students who entered the Certificate Program prior to August 2011.

Description:
Concentrate your skills on the principles of the zone system. By testing film and learning how to create amazing negatives, you will be able to creatively use the zone system and darkroom techniques in the development of your personal style. This course was formerly titled Photo III: Black and White.

*For the second week, the class will meet on Tuesday, July 2. No class on Thursday, July 4.

Students should be prepared to spend a minimum of 8-10 hours a week on assignments for this course.

Rental fees (not included in tuition) are charged for use of the Photo Center darkroom to complete assignments outside of class; a list of rental rates for students is available on the Hours/Rates page.
