Ron Reeder lives on Mercer Island with his wife Judith (also a photographer). He is mostly self-taught but took much inspiration from workshops with photographers such as Bruce Barnbaum, Don Kirby, Stu Leve, and others. He specialized in making prints on hand coated palladium paper, often with layers of colored gum bichromate on top. He has pioneered the use of the QuadToneRIP in making digital negatives and has written two books on the subject. He is represented by WallSpace Gallery.
